The Bradford Community Stroke Team are lacing up their walking boots and taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for the Stroke Association - the UK's leading stroke charity.

The team, made up of dedicated healthcare professionals who support stroke survivors across Bradford, will tackle the 24-mile route covering Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough on Sunday 5th July 2026. Together, they aim to raise £1,000 to support people affected by stroke.

Alicia Thompson, Specialist Physiotherapist and Team Leader for the Community Stroke Team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:

"Everyday, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible. Help us support all people affected by stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. It’s only thanks to the generosity of our supporters and donors like you that we can provide that vital support."

The challenge highlights the team's commitment not only to helping people recover from stroke but also to supporting the wider services that make a difference to stroke survivors and their families long after they leave hospital.

By taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks, the team hopes to raise awareness of the impact of stroke and encourage people to support the Stroke Association's life-changing work. Every donation will help the charity continue providing specialist support, information and services to stroke survivors and their loved ones across the UK.
